Papanikolis was a Katsonis-class submarine of the Hellenic Navy. She carried the pennant number Y-2. The ship was named after Dimitrios Papanikolis. Chantiers de la Loire, Nantes laid her keel in 1925. Launched on 19 November 1926, she entered service on 21 December 1927.

She was one of two ships of her class. The class followed the Delfin class and was succeeded by the Protefs class.

The boat displaced 576 long tons surfaced and 775 long tons submerged. She measured 62.5 m (205 ft) long with a beam of 5.3 m (17 ft). Her designed speed was 14 knots, and she carried a complement of 30.

Her main battery was one 100 mm (3.9 in) guns.

She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1945.

She has been preserved.
