HMCS Margaree was a D-class destroyer built for the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number H49. Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Hebburn-on-Tyne laid her keel on 12 June 1931. She entered service on 6 September 1940, having been launched on 16 June 1932.
Displacement was 1,375 long tons. She measured 100.3 m (329 ft) long with a beam of 10.1 m (33 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 145.
Her main battery was four 119 mm (4.7 in) guns. Her machinery developed 36,000 shp.
She served with the Royal Navy as Diana until 6 September 1940. She then passed to the Royal Canadian Navy, serving as Margaree from 6 September 1940. She was in commission for 417 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 22 October 1940 by collision. The wreck survives.
