HMS Severn was a River-class submarine, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number N57. She was built by Vickers Armstrong, Barrow. She was launched on 16 January 1934.
Five ships of the class were built.
The boat displaced 2,206 long tons surfaced and 2,723 long tons submerged. She measured 105.2 m (345 ft) long with a beam of 8.5 m (28 ft). Her designed speed was 22 knots, and she carried a complement of 61. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.
She was in commission for 1,940 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 23 December 1944.
She was broken up for scrap on 30 July 1946.
