HMS Vindex was a Nairana-class escort carrier built for the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number D15. Swan Hunter laid her keel on 1 July 1942. Launched on 4 May 1943, she entered service on 3 December 1943.
Three ships of the class were built. The class followed the HMS Activity and was succeeded by the Long Island-class escort carrier.
She displaced 13,455 long tons. She measured 159.7 m (524 ft) long with a beam of 20.7 m (68 ft). Her designed speed was 17 knots, and she carried a complement of 700.
Her main battery was two 102 mm (4 in) guns. She carried 15 aircraft. Her machinery developed 11,000 hp.
She was in commission for 639 days of the Second World War.
She was broken up for scrap on 2 October 1947.
