HNLMS Jacob van Heemskerck was a cruiser in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy. She carried the pennant number 1906. She was named for Jacob van Heemskerck. Her keel was laid at Rijkswerf, Amsterdam in 1905. Launched on 22 September 1906, she entered service on 22 April 1908.

She displaced 4,920 long tons. She measured 98 m (322 ft) long with a beam of 15.2 m (50 ft). Her designed speed was 16.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 340.

Her main battery was two 239 mm (9.4 in) guns. Her machinery developed 6,400 hp through two shafts.

She served with the Royal Netherlands Navy as Jacob van Heemskerck until 13 September 1974. She then passed to the Kriegsmarine, serving as Undine from 1943. She was in commission for 3,168 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 13 September 1974. She recommissioned on 23 February 1948. She was struck from the register on 4 October 1974.
