Ryūhō was a light aircraft carrier in service with the Imperial Japanese Navy. Her keel was laid at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal on 12 April 1933. She was launched on 16 November 1933.
She displaced 16,436 long tons. She measured 215.7 m (708 ft) long with a beam of 19.6 m (64 ft). Her designed speed was 26.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 989.
Her main battery was eight 127 mm (5 in) guns in four twin mountings. She carried 31 aircraft. Her machinery developed 52,000 shp through two shafts.
She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She recommissioned on 30 November 1942. She was struck from the register on 30 November 1945.
She was broken up for scrap in 1946.
