Suzutsuki was a Akizuki-class destroyer, operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy. She carried the pennant number 1942. She was named for Clear moon. Mitsubishi Nagasaki Shipyard laid her keel on 15 March 1941. She entered service on 29 December 1942, having been launched on 4 March 1942.

Displacement was 2,700 long tons standard and 3,700 long tons at full load. She measured 134.2 m (440 ft) long with a beam of 11.6 m (38 ft). Her designed speed was 33 knots, and she carried a complement of 263.

Her main battery was eight 100 mm (3.9 in) guns.
