Shch-421 was a submarine of the Shchuka-class submarine, Type X built for the Soviet Navy. Her keel was laid on 20 November 1934. Launched on 12 May 1935, she entered service on 5 December 1937.
Her class ran to six ships. The class followed the Leninets-class submarine and was succeeded by the Pravda-class submarine.
The boat displaced 577 long tons surfaced and 704 long tons submerged. She measured 57 m (187 ft) long with a beam of 6.2 m (20 ft). Her designed speed was 12.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 38.
Her main battery was two 45 mm (1.8 in) guns.
She was in commission for 951 days of the Second World War.
She was scuttled on 9 April 1942. The wreck survives.
