Ariane was a Ariane-class submarine in service with the Marine Nationale. She carried the pennant number Q122. The ship was named after Ariadne. Chantiers et Ateliers Augustin Normand, Le Havre, France laid her keel on 8 February 1923. Launched on 6 August 1925, she entered service on 1 September 1929.
The boat displaced 626 long tons surfaced and 787 long tons submerged. Her designed speed was 14 knots, and she carried a complement of 41.
Her main battery was one 75 mm (3.0 in) guns.
She was in commission for 1,165 days of the Second World War.
She was scuttled on 9 November 1942, at 35°53′N 0°29′W. The wreck survives.
