ARA La Argentina was a light cruiser built for the Argentine Navy. She carried the pennant number C-3. Her keel was laid at Vickers-Armstrongs, Barrow in Furness on 11 January 1936. She entered service on 12 April 1939, having been launched on 16 March 1937.

Displacement was 6,500 long tons standard and 7,500 long tons at full load. She measured 165 m (541 ft) long with a beam of 17.2 m (56 ft). Her designed speed was 30 knots, and she carried a complement of 800. Her main battery was of 152 mm (6.0 in) calibre.

She carried one aircraft.

She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1972.

She was broken up for scrap in 1974.
