Rio Grande do Sul was a Bahia-class cruiser, operated by the Brazilian Navy. Armstrong Whitworth laid her keel on 30 August 1907. She entered service on 14 May 1910, having been launched on 20 April 1909.
Her class ran to two ships.
Displacement was 3,051 long tons. She measured 122.4 m (402 ft) long with a beam of 11.9 m (39 ft). Her designed speed was 27.0 knots, and she carried a complement of 320. Her main battery was of 120 mm (4.7 in) calibre.
She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1948.
She was broken up for scrap.
