Panthère was a Chacal-class destroyer of the Marine Nationale. The ship was named after Panther. Arsenal de Lorient laid her keel on 23 December 1923. Launched on 27 October 1924, she entered service on 1 November 1926.

Her class ran to two ships. The Guépard-class destroyer followed.

She displaced 2,092 long tons standard and 3,026 long tons at full load. She measured 126.8 m (416 ft) long with a beam of 11.1 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 35.5 knots.

Her main battery was five 130 mm (5.1 in) guns.

She served with the Marine Nationale as Panthère until July 1940. She then passed to the Regia Marina, serving as FR 22 from 19 January 1943. She was in commission for 564 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in July 1940.

She was scuttled on 9 September 1943. The wreck survives.
