Favorite was a Aurore-class submarine built for the Marine Nationale. She carried the pennant number Q195. She was named for "Favourite". Her keel was laid at Rouen in December 1937. Launched in September 1938, she entered service on 5 November 1942.
Her class ran to five ships. The class followed the Minerve-class submarine and was succeeded by the Narval class.
The boat displaced 805 long tons surfaced and 1,061 long tons submerged. She measured 73.5 m (241 ft) long with a beam of 6.5 m (21 ft). Her designed speed was 15.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 40.
Her main battery was one 100 mm (3.9 in) guns.
She served with the Marine Nationale as Favorite until June 1940. She then passed to the Kriegsmarine, serving as UF-2 from 5 November 1942. She was in commission for 909 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 5 July 1944.
She was scuttled in 1945. The wreck survives.
