German auxiliary cruiser Thor was a auxiliary cruiser built for the Kriegsmarine. Deutsche Werft, Hamburg laid her keel in 1938. She was launched on 16 March 1938.

She displaced 9,200 long tons. She measured 122 m (400 ft) long with a beam of 16.7 m (55 ft). Her designed speed was 17 knots, and she carried a complement of 349.

Her main battery was six 150 mm (5.9 in) guns. She carried one aircraft.

She served with the Kriegsmarine as Santa Cruz until 1939. She then passed to the Kriegsmarine, serving as Thor from 1939. She was in commission for 1,302 days of the Second World War. She recommissioned in March 1940.

She was sunk on 30 November 1942 by accident. The wreck survives.
