U-134 was a Type VIIC submarine in service with the Kriegsmarine. She carried the pennant number 1941. Her keel was laid at Bremer Vulkan, Bremen-Vegesack on 6 September 1940. Launched on 17 May 1941, she entered service on 26 July 1941.
Her class ran to 612 ships. The class followed the Type UB III, Vetehinen class and was succeeded by the Type XXI (Late-war replacement).
