HMS Brecon was a Type IV Hunt-class destroyer destroyer in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number L76. Her keel was laid at Thornycroft, Woolston on 27 February 1941. She entered service on 18 December 1942, having been launched on 27 June 1942.

She displaced 1,175 long tons standard and 1,561 long tons at full load. She measured 90.2 m (296 ft) long with a beam of 9.6 m (31 ft). Her designed speed was 26 knots, and she carried a complement of 170. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 989 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 12 December 1945.

She was broken up for scrap in August 1961.
