HMS Erebus was a Erebus-class monitor in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number I02. Harland & Wolff, Govan laid her keel on 12 October 1915. She entered service on 2 September 1916, having been launched on 19 June 1916.

Her class ran to two ships. The class followed the Marshal Ney-class monitor and was succeeded by the Roberts-class monitor.

Displacement was 7,200 long tons. She measured 123.4 m (405 ft) long with a beam of 26.8 m (88 ft). Her designed speed was 12 knots, and she carried a complement of 226.

Her main battery was two 381 mm (15 in) guns. Her machinery developed 6,000 ihp.

She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War.

She was broken up for scrap in July 1946.
