HMS Kenya was a Fiji-class cruiser light cruiser, operated by the Royal Navy. The ship was named after Colony and Protectorate of Kenya. Her keel was laid at Alexander Stephen and Sons, Glasgow, Scotland on 18 June 1938. She entered service on 27 September 1940, having been launched on 18 August 1939.
Displacement was 8,580 long tons. She measured 169.2 m (555 ft) long with a beam of 18.9 m (62 ft). Her designed speed was 32.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 733.
Her main battery was twelve 152 mm (6 in) guns in four triple mountings. She carried two aircraft. Her machinery developed 80,000 shp through four shafts.
She was in commission for 1,801 days of the Second World War.
She was broken up for scrap on 29 October 1962.
