HMS Onslow was a O-class destroyer of the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number G17. John Brown & Company, Clydebank laid her keel on 1 July 1940. She entered service on 8 October 1941, having been launched on 31 March 1941.

Eight ships of the class were built. The class followed the Ersatz Yorck-class battlecruiser.

She displaced 1,610 long tons. She measured 105.2 m (345 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 37 knots, and she carried a complement of 176. Her main battery was of 119 mm (4.7 in) calibre.

Her machinery developed 40,000 shp.

She served with the Royal Navy as Onslow until April 1947. She was in commission for 1,425 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in April 1947.

She was broken up for scrap in 1980.
