HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën was a cruiser in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy. She carried the pennant number 1909. She was named for Seven Provinces. Her keel was laid at Rijkswerf, Amsterdam on 7 February 1908. Launched on 15 March 1909, she entered service on 6 October 1910.

Displacement was 6,530 long tons. She measured 101.5 m (333 ft) long with a beam of 17.1 m (56 ft). Her designed speed was 16 knots, and she carried a complement of 452.

Her main battery was two 280 mm (11.0 in) guns.

She served with the Royal Netherlands Navy as De Zeven Provinciën until 18 February 1942. She then passed to the Imperial Japanese Navy, serving as Unknown from 1942. She was in commission for 1,627 days of the Second World War.

She was sunk in 1943 by aircraft. The wreck survives.
