HNoMS B-5 was a submarine built for the Royal Norwegian Navy. Horten Navy Yard, Oslo laid her keel in December 1925. She entered service on 1 October 1929, having been launched on 17 June 1929.
The boat displaced 359 long tons surfaced and 536 long tons submerged. She measured 51 m (167 ft) long with a beam of 5.3 m (17 ft). Her designed speed was 15 knots, and she carried a complement of 23.
Her main battery was one 76 mm (3.0 in) guns.
She served with the Royal Norwegian Navy as HNoMS B-5 until 9 April 1940. She then passed to the Kriegsmarine, serving as UC-1 from 20 November 1940. She was in commission for 714 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 28 March 1942.
She was broken up for scrap in 1942.
