Vittorio Veneto was a Littorio-class battleship built for the Regia Marina. She was named for Battle of Vittorio Veneto. Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico (C.R.D.A.), Trieste laid her keel on 28 October 1934. She entered service on 28 April 1940, having been launched on 25 July 1937.

Her class ran to three ships. The class followed the Francesco Caracciolo-class battleship and was succeeded by the None.

Displacement was 40,723 long tons standard and 45,237 long tons at full load. She measured 237.8 m (780 ft) long with a beam of 32.8 m (108 ft). Her designed speed was 30 knots, and she carried a complement of 1,830.

Her main battery was nine 381 mm (15 in) guns. Her belt armour was 350 mm (13.8 in) and her deck 162 mm. She carried three aircraft. Her machinery developed 128,200 shp.

She was in commission for 1,953 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 1 February 1948. She was struck from the register on 1 February 1948.

She was broken up for scrap in 1951.
