Dardo was a Freccia-class destroyer built for the Regia Marina. She carried the pennant number 1930. She was named for Dart. Cantieri navali Odero, Sestri Ponente laid her keel on 23 January 1929. Launched on 6 September 1930, she entered service on 26 January 1932.
She was one of four ships of her class. The class followed the Navigatori-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Folgore-class destroyer.
Displacement was 1,206 long tons standard and 2,116 long tons at full load. She measured 96.2 m (315 ft) long with a beam of 9.8 m (32 ft). Her designed speed was 30 knots, and she carried a complement of 185.
Her main battery was four 120 mm (4.7 in) guns in two twin mountings. Her machinery developed 44,000 hp through two shafts.
She served with the Regia Marina as Dardo. She then passed to the Kriegsmarine, serving as TA31 from September 1943. She was in commission for 2,794 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 24 April 1945. The wreck survives.
