Spalato was a destroyer built for the Yugoslav Navy. She was named for City of Split. Yarrow Shipbuilders, Split laid her keel in July 1939. She entered service on 4 July 1958, having been launched in March 1950.

Displacement was 2,400 long tons. She measured 120 m (394 ft) long with a beam of 11.3 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 38 knots, and she carried a complement of 240.

Her main battery was five 140 mm (5.5 in) guns. Her machinery developed 55,000 shp.

She served with the Yugoslav Navy as Split until 15 April 1941. She then passed to the Yugoslav Navy, serving as Split from 4 July 1958. She was in commission for 592 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1980. She was struck from the register on 2 February 1984.

She was broken up for scrap in 1986.
