Anfitrite was a Sirena-class submarine built for the Regia Marina. Her keel was laid at Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico, Monfalcone in 1931. She was launched on 24 April 1933.
She was one of twelve ships of her class. The class followed the Argonauta-class submarine and was succeeded by the Perla-class submarine.
The boat displaced 680 long tons surfaced and 837 long tons submerged. She measured 60.2 m (197 ft) long with a beam of 6.5 m (21 ft). Her designed speed was 14 knots.
Her main battery was one 100 mm (3.9 in) guns. Her machinery developed 1,350 bhp through two shafts.
She was in commission for 552 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 6 March 1941. The wreck survives.
