Oite was a Kamikaze-class destroyer (1922) destroyer built for the Imperial Japanese Navy. She carried the pennant number 1924. Her keel was laid at Uraga Dock Company, Uraga on 16 March 1923. She was launched on 27 November 1924.
Her class ran to nine ships. The class followed the Wakatake-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Mutsuki-class destroyer.
Displacement was 1,400 long tons standard and 1,719 long tons at full load. She measured 102.5 m (336 ft) long with a beam of 9.1 m (30 ft). Her designed speed was 37.3 knots, and she carried a complement of 148.
Her main battery was four 120 mm (4.7 in) guns. Her machinery developed 38,500 shp through two shafts.
She was in commission for 1,653 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 11 March 1944.
She was sunk on 18 February 1944 by aircraft. The wreck survives.
