I-58 was a Type B3 submarine built for the Imperial Japanese Navy. She carried the pennant number 1943. Her keel was laid at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal on 26 December 1942. She was launched on 9 October 1943.
The class followed the Junsen Type A and was succeeded by the Junsen Type C.
The boat displaced 2,140 long tons surfaced and 3,688 long tons submerged. She measured 108.7 m (357 ft) long with a beam of 9.3 m (31 ft). Her designed speed was 17.8 knots, and she carried a complement of 94.
Her main battery was one 140 mm (5.5 in) guns. She carried one aircraft.
She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War.
She was scuttled on 1 April 1946, at 12°02′N 134°48′E. The wreck survives.
