U-75 was a submarine of the Type VIIB U-boat built for the Kriegsmarine. She carried the pennant number 1940. Her keel was laid at Bremer Vulkan, Bremen-Vegesack on 15 December 1939. Launched on 18 October 1940, she entered service on 19 December 1940.

Her class ran to 24 ships. The class followed the Type UB III, Vetehinen class and was succeeded by the Type XXI (Late-war replacement).

The boat displaced 741 long tons surfaced and 843 long tons submerged. She measured 66.5 m (218 ft) long with a beam of 6.2 m (20 ft). Her designed speed was 17.9 knots.

Her main battery was one 88 mm (3.5 in) guns.

She was in commission for 374 days of the Second World War.

She was sunk on 28 December 1941, at 31°50′N 26°40′E. The wreck survives.
