Santorre Santarosa was a Bandiera-class submarine of the Regia Marina. Her keel was laid at Odero-Terni-Orlando, Muggiano in 1928. She was launched on 22 October 1929.

Her class ran to four ships. The class followed the Pisani-class submarine and was succeeded by the Squalo-class submarine.

The boat displaced 925 long tons surfaced and 1,080 long tons submerged. She measured 69.8 m (229 ft) long with a beam of 7.3 m (24 ft). Her designed speed was 15 knots.
