Yūgumo was a Yūgumo-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She carried the pennant number 1941. Maizuru Naval Arsenal laid her keel on 12 June 1940. Launched on 16 March 1941, she entered service on 5 December 1941.

19 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Kagerō-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Akizuki-class destroyer (1942).

Displacement was 2,077 long tons. She measured 119.2 m (391 ft) long with a beam of 10.8 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 35.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 225.

Her main battery was six 127 mm (5 in) guns.

She was in commission for 726 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 1 December 1943.

She was sunk on 6 October 1943, at 7°33′S 156°14′E. The wreck survives.
