Ha-209 was a Ha-201-class submarine of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Sasebo Naval Arsenal, Sasebo, Japan laid her keel on 7 May 1945. Launched on 31 May 1945, she entered service on 4 August 1945.

Her class ran to ten ships. The class followed the Vessel Number 71.

The boat displaced 320 long tons surfaced and 440 long tons submerged. She measured 53 m (174 ft) long with a beam of 4 m (13 ft). Her designed speed was 11.8 knots, and she carried a complement of 26.

Her main battery was two 533 mm (21.0 in) guns.

She was in commission for 14 days of the Second World War.

She was broken up for scrap on 18 August 1945.
