Dauphin was a Requin-class submarine in service with the Marine Nationale. She carried the pennant number 1925. She was named for Dolphin. Arsenal de Toulon laid her keel on 11 December 1922. She entered service on 22 November 1927, having been launched on 2 April 1925.
She was one of nine ships of her class. The Redoutable-class submarine followed.
The boat displaced 1,150 long tons surfaced and 1,441 long tons submerged. She measured 78.3 m (257 ft) long with a beam of 6.8 m (22 ft). Her designed speed was 15 knots, and she carried a complement of 51.
Her main battery was one 100 mm (3.9 in) guns.
She served with the Marine Nationale as Dauphin until 8 December 1942. She then passed to the Regia Marina, serving as FR 115 from 8 December 1942. She was in commission for 1,469 days of the Second World War.
She was scuttled on 9 September 1943. The wreck survives.
