U-875 was a Type IXD2 submarine in service with the Kriegsmarine. Her keel was laid at DeSchiMAG AG Weser, Bremen on 11 May 1943. Launched on 16 February 1944, she entered service on 21 April 1944.

Her class ran to 33 ships. The class followed the Type I and was succeeded by the Type XXI.
