HMS Cleveland was a Type I Hunt-class destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number L46. Her keel was laid at Yarrow Shipbuilders, Glasgow on 7 July 1939. She was launched on 24 April 1940.

Displacement was 1,000 long tons standard and 1,340 long tons at full load. She measured 85 m (279 ft) long with a beam of 8.8 m (29 ft). Her designed speed was 27.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 146. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War.

She was broken up for scrap in December 1959.
