HMS Loch Alvie was a Loch-class frigate, operated by the Royal Navy. She was named for Loch Alvie. Barclay, Curle & Company, Whiteinch, Glasgow laid her keel on 31 August 1943. Launched on 14 April 1944, she entered service in 1950.
15 ships of the class were built. The class followed the River-class frigate and was succeeded by the Bay-class frigate.
She displaced 1,435 long tons. She measured 93.6 m (307 ft) long with a beam of 11.6 m (38 ft). Her designed speed was 20 knots, and she carried a complement of 114. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.
She served with the Royal Navy as Loch Alvie until November 1963. She then passed to the Royal Canadian Navy, serving as Loch Alvie from 10 August 1944. She was in commission for 305 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in November 1963.
She was broken up for scrap on 20 September 1965.
