HMS Mahratta was a M-class destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. Her keel was laid at Scotts, Greenock on 18 August 1941. Launched on 28 July 1942, she entered service on 8 April 1943.
Her class ran to seven ships. The class followed the None and was succeeded by the Quebec-class submarine.
She displaced 1,920 long tons standard and 2,725 long tons at full load. She measured 110.3 m (362 ft) long with a beam of 11.3 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 190.
Her main battery was six 119 mm (4.7 in) guns in three twin mountings. Her machinery developed 48,000 shp.
She was in commission for 323 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 25 February 1944, at 71°17′N 13°30′E. The wreck survives.
