HMS P47 was a U-class submarine of the Royal Navy. Vickers Armstrongs, Barrow-in-Furness laid her keel on 19 November 1941. Launched on 27 July 1942, she entered service on 8 October 1942.
She was one of 53 ships of her class.
The boat displaced 540 long tons surfaced and 730 long tons submerged. She measured 58.2 m (191 ft) long with a beam of 4.9 m (16 ft). Her designed speed was 11.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 27. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.
She served with the Royal Navy as HMS P47. She then passed to the Royal Netherlands Navy, serving as HNLMS Dolfijn from 8 October 1942. She was in commission for 3,253 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in December 1946.
She was broken up for scrap in 1952.
