HMS Undaunted was a British U-class submarine, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number N55. Her keel was laid at Vickers Armstrongs, Barrow-in-Furness on 2 December 1939. Launched on 20 August 1940, she entered service on 30 December 1940.
She was one of 53 ships of her class.
The boat displaced 540 long tons surfaced and 730 long tons submerged. She measured 58.2 m (191 ft) long with a beam of 4.9 m (16 ft). Her designed speed was 11.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 27. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.
