HMS Pioneer was a aircraft carrier of the Colossus-class aircraft carrier aircraft-maintenance ship of the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R76. Her keel was laid at Vickers-Armstrong, Barrow-in-Furness on 2 December 1942. She was launched on 20 May 1944.

Her class ran to seven ships. The Centaur-class aircraft carrier followed.

She displaced 12,265 long tons standard and 16,500 long tons at full load. She measured 211.8 m (695 ft) long with a beam of 24.4 m (80 ft). Her designed speed was 25 knots, and she carried a complement of 1,076.
