HMS Truculent was a T-class submarine of the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number P315. Vickers-Armstrongs, Barrow laid her keel on 4 December 1941. She entered service on 31 December 1942, having been launched on 12 September 1942.

52 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Grampus-class submarine and was succeeded by the U class.

The boat displaced 1,290 long tons surfaced and 1,560 long tons submerged. She measured 84.1 m (276 ft) long with a beam of 7.6 m (25 ft). Her designed speed was 15.5 knots, and she carried a complement of 61. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.
