HMS Wolsey was a Admiralty W-class destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number G40. John I. Thornycroft & Company, Woolston, Hampshire laid her keel on 28 March 1917. She entered service on 14 May 1918, having been launched on 16 March 1918.

Displacement was 1,120 long tons. She measured 91.4 m (300 ft) long with a beam of 9.1 m (30 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 134. Her main battery was of 102 mm (4.0 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in 1945. She recommissioned in January 1940.

She was broken up for scrap on 4 March 1947.
