Pola was a Zara-class cruiser, operated by the Regia Marina. She was named for Pola. O.T.O., Livorno laid her keel on 17 March 1931. She entered service on 21 December 1932, having been launched on 5 December 1931.
Four ships of the class were built. The class followed the Trento-class cruiser and was succeeded by the Italian cruiser Bolzano.
She displaced 14,133 long tons. She measured 182.8 m (600 ft) long with a beam of 20.6 m (68 ft). Her designed speed was 32 knots, and she carried a complement of 841.
Her main battery was eight 203 mm (8.0 in) guns. Her belt armour was 150 mm (5.9 in) and her deck 70 mm. She carried two aircraft. Her machinery developed 95,000 shp.
She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 18 October 1946.
She was sunk on 29 March 1941, at 35°19′N 20°59′E. The wreck survives.
