Leone was a Leone-class destroyer of the Regia Marina. She was named for Lion. Gio. Ansaldo & C., Sestri Ponente laid her keel on 23 November 1921. She was launched on 1 October 1923.

Three ships of the class were built.

She displaced 2,195 long tons standard and 2,289 long tons at full load. She measured 113.4 m (372 ft) long with a beam of 10.4 m (34 ft). Her designed speed was 33 knots, and she carried a complement of 204.

Her main battery was eight 120 mm (4.7 in) guns in four twin mountings. Her machinery developed 42,000 hp through two shafts.

She was in commission for 578 days of the Second World War.

She was wrecked on 1 April 1941.
