Scirocco was a Maestrale-class destroyer built for the Regia Marina. The ship was named after Sirocco. Her keel was laid at Cantiere navale di Riva Trigoso on 29 September 1931. She was launched on 22 April 1934.
Four ships of the class were built. The class followed the Folgore-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Oriani-class destroyer.
Displacement was 1,614 long tons standard and 2,208 long tons at full load. She measured 106.7 m (350 ft) long with a beam of 10.2 m (33 ft). Her designed speed was 33 knots, and she carried a complement of 190.
Her main battery was four 120 mm (4.7 in) guns in two twin mountings. 44,000 hp drove two shafts.
She was in commission for 934 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 23 March 1942 by weather. The wreck survives.
