Atropo was a submarine of the Foca-class submarine minelayer, operated by the Regia Marina. She carried the pennant number 1938. She was named for Atropos. Cantieri navali Tosi di Taranto, Taranto laid her keel on 10 July 1937. Launched on 20 November 1938, she entered service on 14 February 1939.
She was one of three ships of her class. The class followed the Pietro Micca and was succeeded by the None.
The boat displaced 1,305 long tons surfaced and 1,625 long tons submerged. She measured 82.8 m (272 ft) long with a beam of 7.2 m (24 ft). Her designed speed was 15.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 60.
Her main battery was one 100 mm (3.9 in) guns. 2,880 bhp drove two shafts.
She was in commission for 2,193 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 23 March 1947.
