Foca was a submarine of the Foca-class submarine minelayer in service with the Regia Marina. She carried the pennant number 1937. Her keel was laid at Cantieri navali Tosi di Taranto, Taranto on 15 January 1936. She entered service on 6 November 1937, having been launched on 26 June 1937.
Her class ran to three ships. The class followed the Pietro Micca and was succeeded by the None.
The boat displaced 1,305 long tons surfaced and 1,625 long tons submerged. She measured 82.8 m (272 ft) long with a beam of 7.2 m (24 ft). Her designed speed was 15.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 60.
Her main battery was one 100 mm (3.9 in) guns. 2,880 bhp drove two shafts.
She was in commission for 407 days of the Second World War.
She was sunk on 12 October 1940. The wreck survives.
