Akizuki was a Akizuki-class destroyer (1942) destroyer, operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy. She carried the pennant number 1941. Her keel was laid at Maizuru Naval Arsenal on 30 July 1940. Launched on 2 July 1941, she entered service on 11 June 1942.
She displaced 2,700 long tons standard and 3,700 long tons at full load. She measured 134.2 m (440 ft) long with a beam of 11.6 m (38 ft). Her designed speed was 33 knots, and she carried a complement of 263.
Her main battery was eight 100 mm (3.9 in) guns.
She was in commission for 913 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 10 December 1944.
She was sunk on 25 October 1944, at 20°29′N 126°30′E. The wreck survives.
