Wakatsuki was a Akizuki-class destroyer (1942) destroyer in service with the Imperial Japanese Navy. Mitsubishi Nagasaki Shipyard laid her keel on 9 March 1942. She entered service on 31 May 1943, having been launched on 24 November 1942.

She displaced 2,700 long tons standard and 3,700 long tons at full load. She measured 134.2 m (440 ft) long with a beam of 11.6 m (38 ft). Her designed speed was 33 knots, and she carried a complement of 263.

Her main battery was eight 100 mm (3.9 in) guns.

She was in commission for 593 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 10 January 1945.

She was sunk on 11 November 1944. The wreck survives.
