I-203 was a I-201-class submarine of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Kure Naval Arsenal, Kure, Japan laid her keel on 1 June 1944. Launched on 20 October 1944, she entered service on 29 May 1945.
Her class ran to three ships. The class followed the I-400-class submarine.
The boat displaced 1,291 long tons surfaced and 1,450 long tons submerged. She measured 79 m (259 ft) long with a beam of 5.8 m (19 ft). Her designed speed was 15.8 knots, and she carried a complement of 31. Her main battery was of 25 mm (1.0 in) calibre.
Her machinery developed 2,750 bhp.
She was in commission for 97 days of the Second World War. She was struck from the register on 30 November 1945.
She was expended as a target on 2 September 1945. The wreck survives.
