HMS Unbroken was a U-class submarine of the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number P42. Her keel was laid at Vickers-Armstrongs, Barrow-in-Furness on 30 December 1940. She entered service on 29 January 1942, having been launched on 4 November 1941.

She was one of 53 ships of her class.

The boat displaced 540 long tons surfaced and 730 long tons submerged. She measured 58.2 m (191 ft) long with a beam of 4.9 m (16 ft). Her designed speed was 11.2 knots, and she carried a complement of 27. Her main battery was of 76 mm (3.0 in) calibre.

She served with the Royal Navy as HMS Unbroken until 26 June 1944. She then passed to the Soviet Navy, serving as V-2 (В-2) from 26 June 1944. She was in commission for 1,313 days of the Second World War.

She was transferred in 1949.
